Does Alaniz Moving insure my belongings?
Yes, however a household goods mover in the state of Texas has the following limit of liability. The limit of liability for any item(s) damaged is .60 cents per pound per item. This is why we take extra care not to damage your items! For labor only services when we do not provide a truck our liability is only when we are on site and the items are handled by us. Once the job is complete and you leave with you household items our liability ends.
How much will my move cost?
Every move is different, it is important to be honest with everything you need moved. Alaniz Moving will be able to provide a final and total cost for your move after we discuss your moving needs over the phone, email or an onsite survey.
Are there any additional charges when my move is completed?
No additional charges. The total cost or hourly rate will be discussed and agreed upon prior to your move.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer a 10% discount to Police, Fire Fighters, Military, and Senior Citizens.
What form of payments do you accept?
We accept cash or cash equivalent, check, and credit/debit cards.
Does Alaniz Moving charge a fee if I need to reschedule or cancel my move?
No, we understand that when moving everyone must be flexible. However, we want to respect your time, and ask the same in return. Please inform us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel a service.
For an hourly service when does my clock start?
Your time starts after we arrive and start your service and stops when the job is complete and you are satisfied with our work.
Do the movers accept tips?
Tips are at the discretion of our customers.
Do items have to be disassembled?
It depends; some large items may have to be disassembled. We will discuss any items that may have to be disassembled prior to your move.
Can I leave items in dresser drawers?
Yes, but please remove all breakable items. Also understand that dressers may have to be moved sideways to get through doorways or loaded upside down for transporting. We recommend that all items be removed except clothing.
What items will not be taken?
Hazardous Chemicals, Flammables, ammunition, unboxed small items. If you need us to transport valuable fragile items, large or bulky items or live plants please inform us when we discuss your move to ensure we are prepared.
Will Alaniz Moving load or unload a rental truck?
Yes, we will help with any moving job.
Do I need to provide any equipment or supplies?
Alaniz Moving comes with dollies & shrink wrap on labor only jobs. If you use our moving service we will provide everything we need to complete the job.
Will Alaniz Moving call me prior to arrival?
Yes. We will coordinate with you on your move/box drop off date and confirm arrival times.
Do hanging clothes need to be boxed?
Not if you are using a wardrobe box, otherwise yes. Plastic contractor bags (the heavy duty ones) can also be used. Put 10-12 hangers and clothes inside the bag and tie the top tight just below the hook on the hanger to keep them together. All other items that can be boxed must be boxed. All boxes must be sealed on the top and bottom.
Do you sell boxes and moving supplies?
We have packing boxes available for rent; we do not sell cardboard boxes. We will provide boxes and other consumable packing supplies at cost to our customers. If you would like to purchase one of our moving totes or for additional details please contact us.
Where does Alaniz Moving provide service?
We offer moving service anywhere in the state of Texas. Our primary area is north Texas, Vernon, Wichita Falls, and the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
